leading Internet portal, has strenghtened its technology team with the
appointment of Xin Ye as Vice-President of Engineering. The appointment of Mr.
Ye will further develop SOHU.com's advanced technologies that underpin its
position as China's leading Internet portal.
Mr. Ye has a significant track record in business-to-business e-commerce and
Internet startup experience. For over 12 years he worked in the areas of
technology sales and commercial software product development in Silicon Valley.
Mr. Ye held senior business development and sales engineering positions with
Marimba (NASDAQ: MRBA) where he made significant contributions that helped
establish Marimba's credibility in the Internet Service Management marketplace
and launch its successful IPO. Prior to that, he served as director of
development at Innovix Technology, a software company providing workflow
solutions for the leading manufacturing companies, and as a senior technical
staff at Tibco (NASDAQ: TIBX), a leading enterprise application integration
software company.
Mr. Ye has a M.S. degree in Computer Science from Marquette University in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a BS degree from Tsinghua University in Beijing,
China.
