(Nasdaq: SOHU), China's leading online media, communications, commerce and mobile value-added services company, announced that the Company's founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Charles Zhang has received the Academy of Management's 2004 "Distinguished Executive of the Year" Award.

Dr. Charles Zhang, the first Chinese national to have been named for the prestigious tribute, received the award at the 64th annual conference of the Academy of Management in New Orleans, Louisiana, on August 8, 2004, during which he gave the keynote address. The 2004 annual meetings were attended by over 7,000 members.

The Academy of Management (the Academy, or AOM) is the leading professional association for scholars dedicated to creating and disseminating knowledge about management and organizations. Founded in 1936 by two professors, the Academy is the oldest and largest scholarly management association in the world with over 15,000 members from 93 nations.
